Recognising that this could change, Sydney Catholic Schools took this challenge to heart and asked “What features of learning environments best enable children to grow and adapt?”
Teaching 11 and 12 year olds a foreign language comes with its own challenges. Critical to them learning is forming habits, driven by goals, powered by praise, and demonstrating clear progress.
Sydney Catholic Schools identified an opportunity to use high-impact learning scenarios including developmental games, songs and role-playing activities to maximise learning among its students, creating an environment in which teachers, classes and individuals can’t wait to continue learning.
